About

I am a positive psychology practitioner who hopes to leave a mark on the world, one person at a time, through teaching, public speaking, and writing.

I grew up in a small town in the north of Mexico. In college, I studied bioengineering because I wanted to make a big contribution to the world, such as finding the cure for cancer. That didn’t happen because the lab wasn’t my place, but then, a Fulbright scholarship and fate led me to Spain, where I discovered my vocation.

A few years ago, positive psychology sparked my academic curiosity, and I decided to pursue a graduate degree in the subject. Around the same time, I discovered my true calling was teaching, and, since 2015, I have been an adjunct at a prestigious private university in Madrid and Segovia. I cannot think of a better way of contributing to the world than making an impact in the lives of students. I often get invited to speak at different events, and I am delighted to spread the teachings of positive psychology with an even wider audience. Lately, I have also been posting my writing on different platforms, hoping to share my emotions and insights with people with whom I don’t interact normally, and I am truly enjoying the process.

I am passionate about the applications of positive psychology to work, education, and social media. Thus, my professional activities are aimed at helping others identify and utilize their emotions and their strengths to ultimately increase their levels of wellbeing and happiness.

I have a B.S.E in Bioengineering from Arizona State University (U.S.A.), an MBA from IE Business School (Spain), and an MSc. in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of East London (UK). I am an active member of the Sociedad Española de Psicología Positiva. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, salsa dancing, writing, studying, exercising, and traveling.
